One of the first peppers to get their own Appellation Controlee, Piment d'Espelette comes from the town of Espelette in the Basque region in France. The unique flavor of the dried and ground pepper is impossible to duplicate and maintains flavors of stone, fruit and ocean. A wonderful experience, Piment d'Espelette is quite versatile and can work in a number of cuisines including Spanish, French and Italian.
