Coriander is the seed of the cilantro plant and has a pleasantly sweet, floral taste and smell. Whole Coriander seeds can be used in dishes such as steak, kidney and oyster pie, or lightly crushed it can be added to pork or lamb. Traditionally it has been known as a pickling spice and for its use in chutneys. Also essential to Middle Eastern, North African and Indian Spice blends such as Dukka, Harissa and Masala.
