Arrowroot powder or flour is the ground rhizomes of the West Indian M. arundinacea arrowroot plant. And while arrowroot is a relative of ginger, it is completely flavorless. Arrowroot is used in a similar manner as cornstarch, though it thickens at lower temperatures. Choose arrowroot over cornstarch if the product is to be frozen. Category: Baking Spices |
